Eakle Construction & Trucking was founded by Sam Eakle in the early 1970s. At a time when Napa Valley was rapidly evolving, Sam became known as one of the builders who helped shape the region's agricultural and public infrastructure. Through decades of hard work, practical problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to quality, he earned the trust of landowners, wineries, public agencies, and developers across Northern California.

Sam wasn't simply a contractor—he was a builder of the infrastructure that helped Napa Valley grow. His work included large-scale reservoir construction, agricultural development, road systems, and significant public works projects, including improvements at Lake Hennessey, Lake Berryessa, and numerous infrastructure projects that continue to serve the region today.

More importantly, he built a reputation for honesty, craftsmanship, and long-term relationships—values that remain the foundation of the company today.

Carrying the Legacy Forward

Growing up in the family business, David Eakle and Diana Hawkins learned the value of hard work long before they officially joined the company. Construction sites, vineyards, ranches, and wineries weren't simply part of the family business—they were a way of life, shaping the work ethic, craftsmanship, and integrity that continue to define Eakle today.

Both David and Diana earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Agricultural Business from California State University, Chico, combining lifelong hands-on experience with a strong educational foundation.

David focused his studies on plant and soil science, agricultural production, and business management, and today leads field operations, construction management, estimating, and project execution. Diana concentrated on business administration, human resources, marketing, and organizational leadership, overseeing business operations, finance, strategic planning, client relations, and company growth.

Together, they have expanded Eakle's capabilities while remaining true to the values established by their father—combining construction expertise, agricultural knowledge, and modern business leadership to better serve clients throughout Napa Valley and Northern California.

Today, that same commitment to quality, integrity, and innovation continues to guide the next chapter of the Eakle story.
